Gren has launched its purpose, direction and strategy

Gren, the Northern European green energy company, has launched its purpose, direction and strategy. This focuses on growth through core business, and the active search of new efficient energy solutions and opportunities to provide sustainable success for customers, society and the environment.

Gren’s strategy is driven by the core values of the company: trust, respect, solution orientation and customer focus, and the purpose “energizing the future today”. Gren believes that the future is made today, as any action today impacts our life tomorrow. The strategy empowers the company’s journey reaching the desired direction of “sustainable success” – success that is a win-win game for customers, partners, society and the environment.

Ilkka Niiranen, CEO of Gren, commented: “We are very pleased that we can announce Gren’s purpose, direction, values and strategy. It has been an intense and exciting journey with a lot of teamwork. Customers are at the core of our strategy. They deserve our unlimited focus, and we strive to be a partner for progress for each and every customer. That is why in our strategy we focus on developing and expanding our business by providing the best heating and cooling solutions for our customers and communities. We are highly committed to growth – we actively search for new efficient solutions and growth opportunities beyond our existing businesses. I can say with certainty that our people at Gren are the strength of our strategy. Their dedication and professionalism make the difference – they make our strategy come alive.

Work on the implementation of the strategy and growth has already started. The interest towards sustainable district heating produced from renewables and local fuels is very high and the customer base of Gren’s district heating is rapidly growing. The company has actively entered a new business line oriented on industries, also known as industrial energy services (IES). Recently Gren finalised the acquisition of a green energy production unit in Riga, Latvia, and is currently in the process of acquiring a district heating business from E energija group in Lithuania. The journey for sustainable success is on.
